Example A:
Wanted is an input swing of +- 42V, Output 240V. Throughput 15kVA single phase (or 415V 45kVA three-phase).
Make four small transformers:
1. Primary voltages are all 240V.
2. Secondary currents are all = 15000VA / 240V = 62.5A
Transformer Secondary Core size (V x I)
A 2.8V 0.18kVA
B 5.6V 0.35kVA
C 11.2V 0.70kVA
D 22.4V 1.40kVA
Because of the voltage swing and kVA rating needed, use a Magic™ 2.8
Example B:
Wanted is an input swing of +- 60V, Output should be 230V. Throughput wanted is 4kVA single phase (or 400V 12kVA three-phase).
Make four transformers:
1. Primary voltages are all 230V.
2. Secondary currents are all 4000VA / 230V = 17.4A
