Since September 10, Mexico’s new energy label labeling regulations will be officially started, 186 electronic products exports to Mexico will face barriers to energy efficiency.
According to regulations, all on September 10 this year in Mexico’s new sales of electrical and electronic products to be registered according to the model, according to the relevant laws and regulations require energy consumption test, and in Spanish on the product indicated how many watts per hour, or how much kilowatts of energy, so that consumers can choose to buy a better product. If the product is not labeled accordingly regulated energy label, the Mexican government will be on the manufacturer, importer or retailer impose fines for each model of approximately $ 100,000. It is worth noting that the label is limited to the primary energy consumption of the product itself (without adapter or accessory), so if the product with an AC adapter, AC adapter without this mark energy label, but if the transfer connector is sold separately as a spare, it shall have its own label.
As countries leading energy efficiency labeling scheme for market access standards for electrical and electronic products continue to overweight, using products have to bring energy efficiency straitjacket, many developing countries also follow the introduction of a variety of energy efficiency standards and regulations. Inspection and quarantine departments to remind the relevant export enterprises should strive to obtain the shortest possible time and minimum cost of energy efficiency labeling the overseas market permits, and focus on doing the work of two aspects: on the one hand, to test the energy efficiency of products, to meet the development trend of eco-design, the eco-design into the product life cycle, focusing on product design and development of energy efficiency design requirements, accelerate the development of energy-saving methods and apparatus used in line with the requirements of energy saving environmentally friendly raw materials and components to improve energy efficiency coefficient; another On the one hand, should be a clear understanding of the relevant state-authorized testing agencies and energy efficiency certification process, timely referral laboratory in accordance with the appropriate qualifications standards of the importing country for testing to ensure the validity and accuracy of the test results, conditional and qualified enterprises should actively participate in international market opportunities for technology to gain competitive game.
Mexico and microwave electronic products must comply with energy efficiency standards:
1) for electronic products and microwave newly released NOM-032-ENER-2013 energy efficiency standards, starting from September 20, 2014 to enforce.
The Mexican standard applies to the following electrical and electronic equipment:
Digital TV adapter, received via cable television signal decoder, satellite images, and Internet Protocol (IP), such as printers, scanners copying equipment, copiers and multifunction, microwave, separate or not separate standalone devices, audio sound capabilities, video player or DVD home theater or disco digital high definition (Blu-ray), a TV with a light-emitting diode (LED), liquid crystal display (LCD), plasma display screen (PDP) and organic light-emitting diode (OLED), 100 volt single-phase power supply voltage to 277 volts AC, 50 Hz or 60 Hz, manufacture or import of these products require labeling.
2) Power Tools Standard NMX-J-524/1-ANCE will be revised, the new standards will take effect November 16, 2014 was enforced.
